10 Facts That Show You Were A High School Cheerleader

If you were a cheerleader, you will be able to relate to these 10 things. Participating in this sport—and yes, it is a sport; I'm not even going to argue—made you love high school that much more. It wasn't just about the cute uniforms and getting everyone's attention at sporting events by throwing each other in the air. It was about making memories and having fun with your best friends.

1. Soffe shorts were the only thing that you wore.

And you can't deny, you had them in every color.

2. You did stunts anywhere that you could.

Even in your heels.

3. You always had something to do on a Friday night.

Making plans with every single one of your friends was easy.

4. You have experienced injuries and watched a ton of people get hurt.

Seeing people fall from a stunt or breaking their nose becomes the norm.

5. Cheer camp was so stressful but completely awesome at the same time.

Getting the spirit stick every night really is a thing, and don't dare drop it.

6. Learning a new stunt made practice a lot more exciting.

And when you nailed it, it made practice 10 times better.

7. Hearing your coach say, "Last time," was the best feeling ever.

Even though those words never really meant last time, it was still some sort of a relief.

8. You had an excuse to wear tons of glitter and awesome bows all the time.

And let's face it: You still wish you could rock crazy make up and a huge bow in public.

9. Hairspray was your best friend, and so were bobby pins.

But you always hated taking your hair out after a game or competition.

10. But no matter how long practices were, how bad your ankles hurt, or how tired you were from learning a new routine, you loved every single minute of it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
