10 Things All Sorority Girls Experience During Recruitment

Now that sorority recruitment is officially over, girls around college campuses are breathing sighs of relief. After weeks of practicing and long days of wearing 5-inch heels, pure exhaustion is setting in and the excitement of getting back into a normal routine is the only thing keeping us going.

Here are 10 experiences sorority girls have during recruitment and recruitment practice:

1. Having no lunch break during a 10 hour day full of dancing and recruiting

2. Being stuck in a 20 minute conversation with someone you have nothing in common with

3. Drinking too many red bulls before 11 am

4. Messing up during your dance in front of the potential new members

4. Getting your name called for attendance when you went out the night before practice

5. Having to be at practice at 9 am on a Saturday

6. When your face is numb from fake smiling all day

7. Feeling like you're almost done for the day but realizing you have three more parties

8. That feeling when your "rush crush" joins a different sorority

9. When the girl you're talking to doesn't pick up on your jokes

10. When dry week is finally over and you can resume your normal lifestyle

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
