10 Essential Junk Foods For Exam Week
Daily Mail

As exam week is approaching, many college students are beginning to feel the stress of their college GPA starting to tremble. Stress = binge eating any unhealthy food you can get your hands on. I mean, how else do you gain the freshman 15, the sophomore 17, the junior 14 (there is not a number that starts with j, okay?) or the senior 16? While you are filling out your grocery list for the next week and a half, make sure to include these essential junk foods to get you through exam week.

1. Ice Cream

It isn't just for breakups. It is the go-to stress reliever. There are so many flavors, you can never get enough of it. If you go to NC State, howling cow is your staple food during exam week.

2. Cookies

Cookies are perfect, end of story. What would we do without cookie delivery places? Insomnia Cookies sure makes a lot of money off of me during this time.

3. Pizza

I am pretty sure every pizza place in America counts down toward exam week. It is so convenient to just order your dinner and have it delivered, instead of interrupting your studies to go find or make food. Pizza is a total comfort food.

4. Chips/Crackers/Anything that comes in a bag

Chips are a very handy exam week craving food because they are very portable. You can take them to the library, the student union, or on the bus. You also can eat them all in one sitting if you don't want to deal with the bag, without any judgement from others. There is also just as many other foods in portable bags as there are chips. There are cheez-its, goldfish, and pretzels, just to name a few.

5. Candy

Exam week brings out the sweet tooth in everyone. There is nothing like entering a candy coma while you are studying or having a sugar high while taking your exams. We really are just kids in a candy shop.

6. Popcorn

Why not wallow in buttery goodness while stressing out? You could go for the healthy kind (ew) if you are worried about calories. I will stick to my Movie Theater Butter, instead.

7. French Fries

Potato chips taken to the next level. My favorites are Arby's curly fries and Bojangle's seasoned fries. There are literally so many choices.

8. Doughnuts

Forever wishing doughnuts would help me remember my notes. I do not know how to explain why these are essential, they just are. I mean, they come in DOZENS!

9. Cupcakes

Mini cakes? Of course they are essential. You can never eat just one cupcake, that is a fact.

10. Anything Chocolate

Chocolate pie, chocolate milkshakes, chocolate candy, chocolate doughnuts, brownies, chocolate cake; unless you are allergic to chocolate, like my roommate. I am sorry you have to live without it during exam week (and every other day.)

So, start stocking up with all these essentials, because you will need them. And to all the people planning on sending us a college care package, just include junk food. Food gift cards are happily accepted.

GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE CURVE BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
