I am no stranger to energy drink consumption, and I promise, I am the last person to judge you for drinking them. They’re delicious. They seem to give you loads of caffeine quickly. They have vitamins in them, which sounds super healthy.
However, there are way more reasons to find healthy caffeine alternatives than to keep chugging bubbly caffeine. The vitamins in them can cause health issues, like liver or nerve injury if you are already taking some form of vitamin supplement. There’s high level of sugar in them and this can contribute to the development of diabetes and the rot of your teeth (commonly known as Mountain Dew teeth).
Here are some items that you can do that will give you an energy boost and are not unhealthy:
1. Drink some coffee!
A 16-ounce cup of Monster has 140 milligrams of caffeine, while a 16-ounce cup of coffee would have approximately 190 milligrams of caffeine.
2. Eat an apple.
They’re actually supposed to provide more energy than caffeine!
3. Drink a glass of ice water.
4. Go to the sunniest room possible.
The sunlight signals to your body that it is daytime and that you are supposed to be awake!
5. Go for a walk.
Just a 15-minute walk (or any physical activity) can help you be more productive.
7 Better yet, go for a walk outside!
The sun AND exercise will do your body wonders.
