Spring break has ended, and that means it is time to get back home and face reality. After a week of relaxation and endless fun, it can be hard to face the return home. Going home means tackling responsibilities and preparing for the end of the semester. As I face my own reality, I find myself going through the 10 stages of the end of spring break.

1. Relief

You have survived spring break. Everything is intact and you are coming home in one piece. It is time for a great sigh of relief.

2. Excitement

On the way home, you remember how comfortable your own bed will be. You are excited to get home, because you have missed all the luxuries that come with your own bed and fully stocked kitchen (maybe).

3. Exhaustion

There were many sleepless nights, and nothing makes you want to sleep more than a long trip home. Your first night back will consist of the best sleep of your life.

4. Stress

The past week, you have forgotten about all of your obligations and responsibilities, which leads to trouble on the way home. It is hard not to think about everything you have to do when you get home.

5. Anxiety

Halfway home, you wonder if there is anything you forgot. The worry turns into sheer panic, because you do not know if you grabbed your favorite shirt out of the drawer you left it in. You can only hope it is in the car.

6. Loneliness

After a week of being surrounded by hundreds of people, the car ride home feels really lonely. You may be with a few friends, but it is just not the same.

7. FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)

As your spring break comes to an end, others are just beginning. Some people have just arrived at the beach, and you are headed home. You wonder what you will miss as you sit in class and they spend a week in paradise.

8. Concern

Suddenly you feel like you did not turn in a spring break assignment. You start to frantically search your email for assignments you may missed.

9. Depression

Even though you were excited to go home, you do not want to leave. You have had an awesome week and you want it to continue.

10. Happiness

You have made it home and you can go to sleep. After a whirlwind of emotions, the only thing that matters now is your bed. Spring break was great, but there is nothing like home.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
