We look up to them, watching every show they star in religiously. But now, we are their age for not only when they were starring on Disney channel, but also when they were getting arrested and getting in trouble with the law! Here are 10 Disney Channel stars you grew up watching, taking away your childhood as being far away from any type of role model
1. Mitchel Musso
He stole the hearts of many young fans as he starred in Hannah Montana. Mitchel, only a 20-year-old at the time, shocked everyone when he was arrested in 2011 for a DUI. He was released after paying a $5000 bail and hasn’t been caught for anything else since then.
2. Orlando Brown
If you were born in the 90’s or early 2000’s, That’s So Raven was undoubtedly one of your favorite shows. I mean, am I right? The end of this flawless show hit not only the fans hard, but one of the stars Orlando Brown as well. In 2007, the year the show stopped airing, Orlando was arrested for marijuana possession. Not only four years later in 2011, he was arrested for a DUI and was arrested again in 2012 for failing his probation from his DUI. He stayed out of the news for a while until this year, he has been arrested for domestic battery, obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, bringing a controlled substance into a jail, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
3. Anneliese van der Pol
I guess That’s So Raven created a pool of felons? That’s right, another That’s So Raven star was arrested for a DUI. In 2006, Annelies after hitting many parked cars, was caught with a .19 blood-alcohol level which is more than double than California’s legal consumption of .08.
4. Phil Lewis
Before starring in the show The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Phil Lewis was not only arrested for a DUI, but also manslaughter. At the age of 24, he was driving with a .22 blood-alcohol level, over three times the legal limit and getting into a head-on collision, killing a 21-year-old woman. While only serving one year in jail, Phil had to complete 350 hours of community service and withstand a two-year probation. Poor Mosby.
5. Lalaine Vergara Paras
Star from the show, Lizzie McGuire Lalaine was arrested in 2007 for possession of crystal meth. If you remember the show, Lalaine played the character Miranda Sanchez, who struggled with anorexia, almost like Disney destined her to drug-use.
6. Lindsay Lohan
This The Parent Trap star has been in the news multiple times. While only having to live 30 years, Lindsay Lohan has gotten arrested more than any other Disney channel star. In just five years in 2007-2012, Lindsay got arrested for cocaine possession, multiple DUIs, violating probation, robbery and a hit-and-run.

7. Shia LaBeouf
This Even Stevens star does not like to comply with boundaries, and on three different occasions. It all started in 2005 when Shia was charged with assault after threatening his neighbor and driving into his car. His second came from the year 2007 when he was arrested for criminal trespassing when refusing to leave a Walgreens. His last was in 2013 when he was arrested with once again, criminal trespassing in his attendance of a Broadway play.
8. Debby Ryan
Another Suite Life star, also the leading star of Jessie has been arrested for a DUI. This is very recent happing this year, 2016. The 22-year-old rammed her Audi into a Mercedes with a .11 blood-alcohol level.
9. Jake T. Austin
The youngest brother of Selena Gomez in Wizards of Waverly Place doesn’t seem so young now with a DUI on his hands. In 2013 and at only 18 years old, Jake was involved with a 4-car hit and run crash on the morning of the night he was arrested for a DUI.
10. Chris Massey
This Zoey 101 star made the headlines this year for getting arrested for domestic violence. When leaving a club in Vegas, Chris allegedly pushed his girlfriend on the ground after having a fight outside a club in Vegas, he was released on bail but it was later reported the girlfriend didn’t report any charges because she stated that her fall was an accident and wasn’t pushed by Chris.
What is it about Disney Channel that creates these privileged young actors to go a-wall? It really puts it into perspective of loving Disney characters, not usually the actors themselves. If only Oliver, Eddie, Chelsea, Mosby, Miranda, Hallie/Annie, Louis, Jessie, Max and Michael where who the actors truly turned out to be like, then they would never have been arrested and instead continue to live in our childhood hearts, as the pure souls they should be!
