10. How's the food?--- stay away from the mystery meat and you should be gucci.
So many questions so little time!!!
OMGGG STRESSED TO THE MAX
Now, although these questions are important, DON"T STRESS!!
Take some "Ange Advice" on my 3 fav topics...
First: Social Life
Yes, you will make friends in college, however, you may not find your bestie right away and THAT'S OK!! When it comes to the social scene and friends in college, my advice to you is to find those who make you feel confident, comfortable, and embrace the person that you are.
It may sound a bit corny but I live by this motto: Stay away from the NEGATIVITY and surround yourself with the POSITIVE vibes. Never try to change who you are just because you want to fit in or hang with a group that may seem like they have it all figured out....guess what? They probs don't.
*NOTE: Hang with those who you laugh uncontrollably with and allow you to take endless Snapchats --- 100% me.
Next: Roomies
This one I'll try to keep short and sweet...think about your lifestyle. Don't choose the first person that seems 'nice'. Ask questions of your potential roomie. It's not weird. If you don't choose a roomie, sometimes that is the best way to go! Don't feel bad if you go random, some of my closest girls went random freshman year and they are STILL living together as they go into junior year. So either way, picking or going random, COMMUNICATE with your roomie or roomies. If you face any issues, even the smallest of things, communication is sooooo important. Please don't text your roomie a paragraph long message listing all the issues you may feel, chat in person so you both can move forward and live in a worry free environment.
Lastly: College majors
If you aren't totally sure what you want to do yet, DON'T STRESS.
Already thinking about switching? Totally doable.
Know where your passion lies? AWESOME!
I entered college knowing 100% that I wanted to be a teacher so I declared myself as an Early-Childhood Education Major. Stayed in the major for about 2 years and then questioned "Is this really what I want to do?" If you have this question or feel it after experiencing a few classes in your chosen major, THAT'S A-OK!! I changed this past semester and I am now 100x happier as a Psychology Major with a Creative Arts Therapy Minor. I still want to work with children, teens, and adults, however, in a different scene.
So my MAIN MESSAGE to you is that when it comes to choosing AND loving your major, if you want to change and explore a different path then DO IT!!
Don't choose a major based off of what your family or friends want you to do or become once you leave the college scene. Yes, it may be helpful to have the ones that know you best help you out in making a decision, however, in the end it's your life and college is a place to find your interests that you choose for YOU!!
If you're still with me...here is a BONUS "Ange Advice"...
College is a change, yes. Will you end up loving it? YES! Although I do not know you all personally, the Class of 2021 seems pretty special! You all will find your place, your niche, and your people.
Be you...Do you...You got this...oh and live it up!
To my Endicott Group 7 babes, miss your faces and you will strive in anything you do.
Much love
~ xoxo.
