10 Commercials That Will Haunt You Forever

With Netflix, DVR, Tivo, and Hulu, commercials are slowly becoming a thing of the past. What a shame! Shout out to all the loyal TV watchers who will sit through useless commercials they have no connection to just because they have nothing better to do. You are the real MVP, and you would know that not all commercials are weird and useless. So yeah, you don't care about the hottest new children's toy, and you don't care about that medicine that helps with that obscure illness. But hey! You still sit through the marketing techniques set up before you trying to get you to spend your money.

Whether you like it or not, there are some commercials that just stick with you forever. Certain commercials have become inside jokes with your friends or have become hot topics around the water cooler. I'm not sure when you started remembering commercials, but there are literally hundreds of thousands in the world, so what makes a commercial memorable? Here are 10 commercials (pretty recent, might I add) that have become tattooed into our heads and known by heart.

1. "IDK my BFF Jill"

Before I even had a phone I was hitting up my BFF Jill. I don't even know anyone named Jill. This commercial came out in 2007 when Cingular was still a thing. Yet, I can still remember the reason this girl was going over her messaging was because of her BFF Jill.

2. "So easy, a caveman can do it."

Geico really ran with this one. How many versions did they make of this one commercial? That is probably what makes this commercial series so memorable.

3. "What are you wearing 'Jake from State Farm'?"

Because of this commercial, everyone now knows some guy who used to just be "Jake" but is now "Jake from State Farm." Shout out to all the Jakes in the world who are now having an identity crisis. I hope you wear nothing but khakis.

4. "Ladies, look at your man."

One of the most random commercials I've ever seen, but it certainly gets the job done. I don't know why he's on a horse, but frankly, I do not care enough to evaluate.

5. "Hump Day"

If you've never walked up to someone on a Wednesday, asked them what day it is, and then yelled "Hump dayyy," you're lying.

6. "I'm a hot babe out jogging."

These Mayhem commercials are blessing from God. Some of the best commercials Allstate has ever put out into the world. There are a bunch of "Mayhem like me" commercials, but the hot babe out jogging is definitely 10/10.

7. Education Connection

Don't act like you don't know the words! You definitely know the words. You've known the words since this came out seven years ago. This jingle bumps!

8. "You gotta be quicker than that""You gotta be quicker than that."

Shoutout to Statefarm for putting out some quality commercials. "Like a good neighbor, Statefarm is there." You sang that in your head, didn't you? This particular commercial will have you saying to people "You almost had it" in the voice of your grandfather.

9. Budweiser Puppy Commercials (1) (2)

What did I ever do to Budweiser to deserve these commercials? If I could show you the internal dialogue that goes on in my head when watching these commercials, it would just be a whole lot of screaming and crying. No wait, I'm crying on the outside, too.

10. ASPCA

Same, "South Park," same. If you're like me, the second you hear the first few lyrics of "In The Arms Of An Angel" you look away and change the channel. This commercial makes me cry over dogs too, but not in a good way.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
