10 Christmas Songs You Need To Listen To
dbknews.com

It's that time of year again! Christmas commercials are on the TV, stores have begun decorating for Christmas, and everyone is anxiously awaiting the upcoming holiday season. Almost every well-known music artist, has attempted a Christmas album, some doing great, and some failing terribly. I have compiled a list of the ten songs you need to listen to this upcoming Christmas season to really get in the fun, holiday spirit.

In no particular order:

1. "Where Are You Christmas" // Faith Hill

Most people will recognize this song from Cindy Lou Who singing it in "The Grinch", but give a listen to the full original song. A bit on the slower side, but still an excellent choice, especially for sitting with a mug of hot chocolate by the Christmas tree.

2. "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home" // Michale Buble

To be honest, Michael Buble's whole "Christmas" album is truly a work of art. This song has the perfect amount of jingle bells in the background, mixed with Buble's velvety voice makes it the perfect tune to listen to while dancing around the house decorating for Christmas.

3. "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" // Brenda Lee

Christmas music would not be same without some classics. The old-fashioned vibe makes it perfect for reminiscing on past Christmases and the wonderful memories that come with that.

4. "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" // N Sync

There's nothing wrong with enjoying some 90's boy band Christmas tunes as this one never fails me to get in the Christmas feels. You really need to give this a listen if you haven't yet. It won't be a letdown.

5. "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" // Andy Williams

One of the most well-known Christmas classics, the holiday season would not be the same without some Andy Williams.

6. "Carol Of The Bells" // Destiny's Child

From Beyonce's former girl band days, another 90's option that you can't go wrong with.

7. "Baby It's Cold Outside" // "Glee" Version

There are so many versions of this duet, but the "Glee" Version with Kurt and Blaine is one of the best, in my opinion.

8. "Mistletoe" // Justin Bieber

This one will become a classic- mark my words. Even if you don't like Bieber as much as I do, do your ears a favor and listen.

9. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" // Mariah Carey

Honestly, I think most people can agree with me that Mariah's extremely upbeat song is one of the most fun songs to sing along with and can really help you get in the Christmas spirit.

10. "Please Come Home For Christmas" // Eagles

A more mellow song, but still very enjoyable.

Seriously, after listening to each of these songs you'll definitely be more in the Christmas spirit!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
