It's that time of the year again.

Stores filled with crazy shoppers. Every parent trying to buy their kids the perfect gifts. Red and green everywhere. Seasonal songs and commercials constantly on, driving everyone absolutely insane.

Yes, it's Christmas time. While there are many things that can stress everyone out this time of the year, there is one thing that many can look forward to: Christmas movies.

There is absolutely no stress that comes with sitting down with your family and watching a nice Christmas movie to ease the pain you may be feeling after battling others all day to buy the gifts you desperately needed for this holiday season.

While there are many great Christmas movies out there, these 10 films are sure to get you back into the holiday spirit!

1. The Polar Express (2004)

By far one of the cutest Christmas movies of all time. This movie will have you believing in Santa again by the time you finish it! (Shame on you if you ever stopped believing.)

2. Elf (2003)

"You smell like beef and cheese, you don't smell like Santa." -One of the many hilarious quotes from this awesome Christmas movie.

3. A Christmas Story (1983)

You would really have to try to not see this movie around the holiday season. But, it is an all-time favorite for many Christmas lovers out there!

4. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

While many enjoy the animated version of this film, I personally love the detail included in this version of the movie that gives it that true Christmas feel! Definitely a must-watch for the holidays.

5. It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

A classic that will never be forgotten. No matter how old this movie gets, it is a movie that people of all ages can watch and appreciate year after year!

6. The Santa Clause (1994)

If this movie doesn't make you wish your dad was Santa Claus, I don't know what will!

7. Home Alone (1990)

Every child who watches this movie wishes they had Kevin McCallister's life. Huge house, home alone, beating the bad guys, now that's the real Christmas gift!

8. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)

If you have a crazy family that gets together every Christmas and things always seem to be chaotic, this movie just may make you feel better about how your family gatherings go.

9. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Many people think this movie is a Halloween movie, and they are right! It is. However, it is also a Christmas movie! It is a movie that can be enjoyed from October 1st through December 31st, and that's one of the many reasons why the movie is so amazing!

10. Bad Santa (2003)

WARNING: THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS MOVIE!!! However, if you are not someone who likes sappy Christmas movies, and you are more of a comedy fanatic, this movie might be for you. It is a raunchy movie, but hey it's about a raunchy mall Santa, so technically it is a Christmas movie, right?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
