Music! A way to clear your head, get you pumped, and just in general an all around good thing. There are many different types of music and artists, but when it comes to the Caribbean there are those who are the best. I want to put it out there that most of the artists I am about to name are Dancehall artists and not Reggae (there is a difference). However, they all make the absolute best music ever for their category and trust me, you will not be disappointed. So without any more delay here are my top 10 favorite Caribbean artists of all time.

#10 RDX

Coming in at number 10 we have the duo that call themselves RDX. I have them at number 10 because they are really good and their music is fun--for the most part. But, I don't know a lot of their songs. The songs I do know though, get me dancing all the time. Check them out you will like them!

#9 Sean Paul

Do I even need to go into why I love Sean Paul? He is awesome and no one can deny it. If for some reason you have never heard a Sean Paul song I suggest you do so quickly because he is amazing.

#8 Sean Kingston

These beautiful girls only wanted to do him dirt! Though I am not sure what happened to him, he is still a favorite of mine.

#7 Brick and Lace

Now a lot of you may not have heard about Brick and Lace but the these two women are really good. I'm not sure if they are still making new music, but you should listen to "Love is Wicked"--I am sure it will have you hooked.

#6 Jah Cure

Jah Cure is amazing, and he appeals to a lot of people. Check him out you will not be disappointed!

#5 Machel Montano

Machel is a Trinidadian Soca artist who can get you whining low to the floor. They really call him Mr. Fete so check out his music.

#4 Bunji Garlin

Coming in at number four is Bunji. This man and his wife, Fay-ann, know how to make good music. (I'm just going to leave it at that) Check them out!

#3 Popcaan

In third place we have the one and only--Popcaan. He is definitely one of the few artists that I know a lot of songs by. I love his music because it is very diverse, and just all around great!

#2 Bob Marley

Though he is in number two on this list, he is a number one singer in Reggae. He will always be the best.

#1 Vybz Kartel

Kartel has a special place in my heart because he is what I grew up with, and he will always be the best to me. Many may disagree but oh well!

These are only a few of the many Caribbean artists that are out there. These are my absolute favorites. Do not let my list limit you, however, look up other songs and see what other artists you may like. Go forth and be Caribbean!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
