10 Kinds Of College Boys Every Girl Needs To Avoid

My roommates and I were chatting one night about our past guys and all of the red flags that we missed, so I am here to share some of the things we discovered.

Ladies, please learn from our mistakes, and check out these ten types of dudes to avoid.

And boys, please read on, and avoid being these types of guys.

1. Boys who don't ask you how your day is

If your man cannot even text you to see how you are, he either doesn't care enough or is a terrible conversationalist. You don't have time for either of these.

2. Boys who get annoyed when you want to stop and pet a dog

You simply do not need this kind of negativity in your life.

3. Boys who still subtweet

After two decades of life, if your boyfriend cannot communicate in a mature and productive manner he is not worth the struggle. Girls, do not play these games either. Life is short; be blunt.

4. Boys who act different around their friends

If Brad from Sigma Apple Pie suddenly acts like he does not even know you in front of his friends, he is not the one. Men, it does not make you less masculine to actually like a girl and treat her nicely.

5. Boys who don't like breakfast food

I mean, come on.

6. Boys who make you walk home alone at night

If your man does not care enough to make sure you are safe, you deserve more than that.

7. Boys who ONLY think about Madden 18

We are in college now, and in the blink of an eye we are going to be full-blown adults in a big scary world. Guys dig video games and that is wonderful, but if your boy has no real goals or aspirations then it is onto the next.

8. Boys who aren't nice to their mom

A great way to find out the true character of a boy is to see if they respect their mama.

9. Boys who only text you at 2:31 a.m.

This boy probably ditched your lunch plans to shotgun a Natty and jump off a roof. He also probably just texted three other girls the same exact message.

10. Boys who tell you who you can and cannot hang out with

You can do whatever you want, gf. And so can your boyfriend. Trust in a relationship is key.

Moral of the story:

Stop overthinking every little thing and realize that most college boys are young and dumb. Let them have their fun and focus on yourself. You have so much life left to worry about finding the right guy.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
