1. You get to spend all of the holidays together.

You don't have to worry about them having other plans because their plans for the holidays are already with you.

2. The know about all of the family drama

You don't have to reexplain the whole situation before wanting tell your friends how Uncle Joe is an a**hole.

3. Their friends are your friends and vise vera

I get just as excited when I get to see Mikes friends when I get to see him.

4. You grew up together

My grandmother can tell me story after story about all of the crazy things my cousin and I did when we were little.

5. Unlike siblings, you don't have to live together

I see them just enough, but not all the time. So when I do get to see my cousins its a special time.

6. They know everything about you... Sometimes too much

One time I sat by myself at a party so that Mike had "alone time" with a girl.

7. You can take the to parties and they keep the guys away.

What's better then having a personal body guard?

8. The memories you have together are priceless.

Birthdays, halloweens, and everything in between there is always a picture of you guys together.

9. They will always come with you to events.

Sister's choir concert? Back to school shopping? Dinner? No problem, I'll just call my cousin to go with me.

10. They will always be there

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
