So, I know some people prefer to not wear any makeup or anything during the week, and that is perfectly fine. But for those of us who insist on primping no matter where we’re going or how rushed we are, I hope these can help you out. Some of these you might already know, but just in case, here are my tips and tricks!

1. Wash your face in the shower.

Yes, just put your face wash next to your shampoo. I promise, this actually saves a lot of time and helps to not get the counter all wet and messy. I usually wash while I let my conditioner set. This also helps make sure you don’t leave anything behind and have to pick microbeads out of your hair or anything like that.

2. Use tinted moisturizer instead of foundation.

This is my go-to everyday look. It combines 2-3 steps of your routine and helps give you a more natural look. I make sure to get one with SPF so that I don’t risk burning my face. This is also much easier to rub in than foundation.

3. Get good brushes!

By good I don’t mean expensive. I mean ones that work and don’t leave streaks. I use these dense, oval brushes I found online for pretty cheap. They have a thick handle that makes it easy to use in a rush, plus the denseness of the bristles makes the application quick and easy.

4. Use a beauty blender or sponge.

Blending with your fingers just makes you have to touch up when you see yourself in the sunlight. So many times I would get into my car and see that I didn’t rub my concealer in all the way and left a weird line across my face. Just dabbing the sponge all over your face makes sure you don’t miss anything.

5. Instead of wetting your sponge, use setting spray.

It helps it blend easier plus sets your makeup! This is also a great solution for people who can’t figure out how much water you are actually supposed to use on those things (myself included).

6. Use Eyebrow Mascara instead of a pencil or pomade.

Eyebrows can take forever to do, and they can be difficult to get right. So assuming you still have natural brows (it seems as if some people no longer want real eyebrow hairs anymore), this is an easy way to define your brows without the hassle. Plus, it’s a great natural look!

7. In-shower moisturizer.

I am very forgetful when it comes to putting on lotion before I leave the house. I have pretty dry skin, and used to just carry lotion with me for when I (inevitably) forgot to apply it at home. I found this in-shower body lotion at the drugstore, where you just use it after your body wash and that’s it! It lasts all day and leaves your skin nice and soft.

8. Use a crayon lipstick/gloss or tinted balm.

It can be tedious trying to line your lips, moisturize, AND add some color to them. These products make application super quick and easy, and you don’t even need to use a mirror to make sure you stay in the lines! I prefer the crayon-sized ones since they tend to be easier to grip and control.

9. Save some steps for later.

Leave out the eye shadow, blush, or anything else you can do without. Just pack those in your bag and wait until you get to school or work to do them. That way, you get out the door faster and you’ll most likely have some time to finish in your car or in the bathroom once you get to your destination.

10. Wash your brushes when you get home.

Washing brushes can take a while to do, so just don’t worry about them until later! Just do it as soon as you get home and they’ll be ready to go the next morning. I usually just use a daily spray cleanser during the week and actually use water and brush soap to deep clean them over the weekend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
