Awkward moments… as much as we hate them, they make the best stories. Don’t feel bad, because we all go through it, so we can suffer together. If anybody doesn’t understand your awkwardness, then they just aren’t a complex person. Being awkward gives you character and makes life interesting.

Here are 10 awkward moments that happen to all of us.

1. When you trip over nothing.

It is super awkward when you are just walking on campus, minding your own business, and you randomly trip over nothing. It's that spastic tripping while walking thing.

2. When you wave back at someone who wasn’t waving at you.

They seem to be looking straight at you and, even though you don’t know them, you wave because maybe they’re just a friendly person.

3. When you use the bathroom at someone’s house and for some reason the toilet doesn’t flush,

This usually happens at the most inconvenient places and times. Ever been at your dates house when this has happened? #awkward

4. Laughing when you just can’t understand what a person is saying and it turns out that they were asking a question.

They give you that look, waiting for you to answer them. Umm sorry didn’t catch that, can you repeat it?

5. When you are in school and the teacher asks the class “So do you understand?” and everyone says yes but you’re completely lost.

Just keep your mouth shut and fake it until you make it. I’m sure the rest of the students are just lying anyway.

6. Being at a place where you don’t know anyone so you just sit in the corner and hope that no one pities you.

The most uncomfortable part isn’t the fact that you are sitting alone, it’s that you don’t want people thinking you’re a loner.

7. You get home and find out that you have had a tag or size sticker on your shirt all day.

You think people are checking out your new outfit but really they’re trying not to come up to you and rip the tag off your shirt.

8. You take a sip water during class and immediately begin choking.

Sometimes us awkward people lose our ability to drink correctly and everyone looks back to see if we’re dying.

9. When you’re talking to someone you like and suddenly you’ve forgotten how to put words into sentences.

Trust me, I don’t have a speech problem, I’m just awkward as hell.

10. Sitting in a public place and your stomach decides that it wants to say hello.

Ever sworn to someone that it was your stomach and not another part of your body making that noise?

Like I said, you’re not alone. People are awkward and it’s wonderful. This is how we laugh and bring character into the world. Don’t be embarrassed when these types of things happen to you. Embrace them and smile after they happen. Don’t worry, we can be awkward together.
