The view from the Acropolis is absolutely breathtaking. And you're sure to marvel at the different structures within the Acropolis. The view was definitely worth the hike to the top!
2. The Parthenon
The Parthenon is one of the structures in the Acropolis and is generally considered one of the most important structures of classical Greece, as it was a temple dedicated to the goddess of wisdom and reason, Athena. It is so much cooler in real life than in pictures!
3. Erechtheion
This is also located on the Acropolis. It is a Greek temple dedicated to both Athena and Poseidon, the god of the sea.
4. Acropolis Museum
This museum contains thousands of archaeological findings from the Acropolis. The statues of the Athenians account for much of our understanding of beauty and beauty standards. This is the biggest museum I've ever been in and worth a visit!
5. Ancient Agora
The Agora is an open space that was used by the Athenians as a marketplace. It contains many structures and is really something worthwhile to see. Walking around the ancient Agora of Athens really made me aware of just how big of a city center and marketplace it once was.
6. Temple of Hephaestus
This temple is so well-preserved and is truly incredible to see in real life.
7. Temple of Olympian Zeus
This temple was dedicated to Zeus, the king of Olympian gods and was quite possibly one of the greatest temples of the ancient world. It was incredible to see the size of this structure up close.

This stadium hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. It is one of the oldest stadiums in the world. This massive stadium made of marble was so neat to see!
