Hop on the bandwagon before it's too late because these people are going to make it big!
1. The Struts
English rockers, The Struts have an edgy sound that parallels the '70s and '80s glam rock bands. Frontman Luke Spiller is the love child of David Bowie and Mick Jagger. With a mix of classic Rock'N'Roll and sing-a-long choruses, The Struts are taking the best of old and new, and it really works.
2. Bryson Tiller
Self-proclaimed "trap soul" artist Bryson Tiller is taking the R&B world by storm with hits like "Don't" and "Let Em' Know." Singer and songwriter, Tiller's sound is Miguel meets Drake on his soulful and lyrically diverse tracks.
3. Nothing But Thieves
Hipster meets the pop world with this Essex based band. Nothing But Thieves marries the best parts of indie rock and pop music. Think mainstream Arctic Monkeys or a less dark version of Muse. Lyrically alternative and musically tasteful, Nothing But Thieves is going to be hitting the charts hard in 2016 with hits like "Trip Switch" and "Ban All the Music."
4. DNCE
Joe Jonas is the frontman, 'nuff said. But really, Joe formed the group this year with members of bands he has toured with in the past. Former Jonas Brother, Jordin Sparks's guitarist, Semi-Precious Weapons's bassist, and Demi Lovato's drummer make up this dance-rock band. As their name suggests, all you want to do is DNCE when their hit single, "Cake by the Ocean" starts playing.
5. Chris Stapleton
Chris Stapleton is bringing country music back to it's southern rock roots. A well-established songwriter in Nashville, Stapleton created number one hits for the likes of George Strait, Kenny Chesney and Darius Rucker. His debut album "Traveller" landed him three Country Music Awards, one being Album of the Year. His iconic performance with Justin Timberlake at the CMA's really put Chris Stapleton on the map, not just for country music fans, but for music fans in general.
6. Blackbear
Ever heard the song called "Boyfriend" by Justin Bieber? Mat Musto, better known as Blackbear, co-wrote that chart-topping hit. Now breaking out on his own, he hasn't released a song that I can't jam to. His first full-length album "Deadroses" is stocked with undiscovered hits including features from G-Eazy and Devon Baldwin. Blackbear's latest album "Help" just dropped on Nov. 27th and it doesn't disappoint.
7. Keys N Krates
Tagged "trap act" Keys N Krates works to combine early house music and southern U.S. rap with their electronic tracks. Hard-hitting "Dum Dee Dum" reached number 17 on the Billboard top Dance/Electronic Songs chart. This trio is releasing their own club spin on festivals like Electric Zoo and Lollapalooza. Keys N Krates's electronic, deep bass sound is infectious so keep an eye out for them this new year.
8. Hippie Sabotage
Their remix of Tove Lo's "Stay High" put this brother duo on the map. Hippie Sabotage creates chill beats for rappers and singers to hop on and do their thing. Subdued EDM is the best way to describe their sound. Vibe along to hits like "Your Soul" and "Born To Rise" and you'll automatically find out why stars like Ellie Goulding have endorsed these brothers.
9. Moxie Raia
The Brain House is an experimental song-writing collective in L.A. whose sole mission is to create music non-stop. Artist like Lil' Wayne, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have all taken material from The Brain House. The only female writer on the team, Moxie Raia, is now breaking out on her own. Vulnerable, raw talent is on Moxie's side as she launches her solo career. This industry newbie is already singing like a pro and has gotten the attention of some major DJs like Tiësto and Steve Aoki who have remixed her songs already. Remember the name Moxie Raia.
10. Tyler Carter
This 23-year-old has already had quite a music career. Tyler Carter started out as the vocalist in the metalcore band Woe, Is Me. In 2012, he joined a new group called Issues, with a metalcore-electronic feel. During his stint with Issues, Carter took time to work on his own material, and thank God he did.
No words can describe his unique voice and range of sound. Contrasting his heavily metalcore past, his new album, "Leave Your Love," features ballads about his personal life. Tyler Carter is diamond in the rough waiting for the world to discover his talents.
