I for one have always been fond of Hallmark’s favorite holiday, Valentine’s Day, ever since I was a child. Whether my plans entailed a date with my significant other, a date with a random person I assaulted on the street and dragged out to dinner with me, a Galentine’s Day party a la Parks and Recreation, hanging out with my parents, or cuddling with my dog, I have always wholeheartedly appreciated the day. I thrived on making little Valentine Day cards for my peers in second grade and building a mailbox covered in glitter and paper hearts to receive cards of my own. Each Valentine’s morning I’d wake up and come downstairs to find a heart-shaped box of chocolates that my dad left in front of my place at the kitchen table. However, I am fully aware that not everyone is the biggest fan of the holiday. So, whether you recently suffered through a break-up or just think Valentine’s Day is stupid, here is a soundtrack that will properly set the mood for the night.
