Even with its recent uptick in LGBT+ representation, modern media is still inundated with heteronormativity, so here's an oasis of gay girl love in the sea of straight.

"Girls like girls like boys do."

Not only is the song beautiful and full of sapphic goodness, the music video is raw and touching.

2. Cool for the Summer by Demi Lovato

"Don't be scared 'cause I'm your body type."

While more about experimentation, it's still a jam.

3. She Keeps Me Warm by Mary Lambert

"And I can’t change, even if I tried
Even if I wanted to."

Expanded from her verse in Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's 'Same Love,' this song is gorgeous and strikes so true.

4. Jenny by Studio Killers

"I wanna ruin our friendship
We should be lovers instead."

A cute electropop number about falling in love with your best friend.

5. Closer by Tegan and Sara

"So let's make things physical
I won't treat you like you're oh so typical."

To be fair, every Tegan and Sara song is hecka gay.

6. Love You Anyway by Ji Nilsson & Marlene

"Whatever you say when you shut me out
I'm gonna love you anyway."

A lovely song about enduring love despite difficulties.

All the time."

"I don't do boys, I just do girls."

Both the song and video are aggressively gay. You're welcome.

A celebration of being pals with a gal.

While the song is about a guy, Halsey's video is definitely, enchantingly gay.

Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
