I wouldn't judge you if you used some of these in classes.

Everyone groans when they see that something from __ decade is coming back. Why don't we rejoice? We liked them back then, what is so wrong with liking them now? I believe that some '90s items need to be brought back.

"Why," you say? Look through my list and tell me that you don't think college students today would benefit from these "'90s items."

1. Multicolor Pens

When you are reading over your material for class; instead of using one highlighter, then putting it down and picking up a different color, you could just use this and not have to worry about the highlighter drying out while you aren’t using it.

2. Rabbit’s Foot

For some reason, whenever I had a rabbit foot, I felt like I could accomplish anything. I’m sure some of y’all need this for those tests. (DISCLAIMER: If you don’t study; you won’t pass. A Rabbit Foot cannot replace studying.)

3. MASH

One way to determine your future if you choose a particular major. You can determine the different outcomes that the job can impact.

4. Oregon Trail

This game taught you patience. Now, look at how impatient we are when an ad pops up during a game we are playing on our phones. I know I cannot wait until that dang x pops up.

5. Garfield Glasses

Life is so much better when you can laugh. These will help you get through your day.

6. Brain Quest

Yes, sometimes our classes challenge our mind but often times, our brain doesn’t get challenged enough anymore. I mean, we Google when we don’t know something instead of researching it ourselves. Enter Brain Quest.

7. Crayola Mini Stamps Markers

This would make your notes more entertaining to study! Or make note-taking so much more interesting...

8. Tamagotchi

There still isn’t an app like this game out there. If we were only as diligent in our school work as we were feeding this little guy…

9. Inline Skates

Remember that morning that your alarm didn’t go off so you woke up late, had to run to the bus stop, ride the bus that dropped you off nowhere near your class, and then you had to run? Imagine how much quicker it would be to skate your way there.

10. Cootie Catcher

You can use this to determine how you are going to spend money. Or what you are going to eat...

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
