After an incredible year in fashion, Zendaya was one of the most stunning attendees at the 2017 Fashion Awards in London.

The clock is counting down towards award show season, meaning it's almost my second favorite time of year of fashion. Until then, I can live off of small sneak peeks of what my favorite style stars will be bringing to the table in the near future by taking note of their choices at other events. The 2017 Fashion Awards was no small affair. The annual ceremony has been held in the U.K. since 1989 and celebrates those who have made major contributions to the fashion industry throughout the year.

Hundreds of the world's most fashionable individuals gathering in one place to celebrate fashion? Yes, please. Many stars put their best looks forward at this year's Fashion Awards, one of my favorite coming from style powerhouse Zendaya Coleman.

Zendaya has truly served looks all year long. The 21-year-old's style has grown immensely in the past year and proves to be fully taking shape. From bold menswear looks to vintage-inspired ensembles, even pushing boundaries by expressing activism through fashion, Zendaya has not ceased to turn heads in 2017.

Something I've always appreciated about her style is how true-to-self it is. It represents an empowering embrace of her womanhood, showing there is not just one way a woman "should dress." She wears exactly what she wants to wear and is not afraid to take risks.

Her look for the 2017 Fashion Awards was anything but timid. After an incredible year in fashion, Zendaya was one of the most stunning attendees of the night and once again proved she can wear literally anything and look absolutely amazing.

As I saw the images of Zendaya on the red carpet on my social media feeds, my jaw actually dropped. Zendaya rocked a gorgeous black velvet Vivetta gown, complete with sheer mesh paneling and silver star-shaped embellishments on the sleeves. The horse-shaped chest detail boldly highlighted the star's slim figure and underboob.

With all of Zendaya's looks, she pays just as much attention to her accessories as she does the main pieces of the ensemble. Though she stuck to simple silver jewelry pieces to bling out this look, her bold pixie cut shows her care for detail. The super-short blonde cut provides the perfect amount of contrast to the long, black gown and emphasizes Zendaya's bold brows and sleek jawline.

Zendaya completely dominated the red carpet, snapping photos with many stars, like Rita Ora along the way. (She still shined the brightest though in my opinion.)

It's honestly so refreshing to see someone wear such a daring look with so much confidence. I love how Zendaya is having fun with her style and is never afraid to try something new. No matter what she wears, it is evident a piece of her personality shines through. It makes even her most casual looks seem perfectly-styled.

Zendaya is making major moves as a fashion icon at such a young age. (Let's not forget her dope clothing line 'Daya' that she released just last year.) I'm genuinely inspired by her style choices on a daily basis, and I cannot wait to see what she has planned for the upcoming award season. With taking on a couple roles in major motion pictures this past year, I will not be surprised to see her breaking headlines with more fiery red carpet looks.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
