I think most girls would agree that Zac Efron is their OG man crush. Of course, every girl has her own specific Zac Efron character that really gives her the feels, though. He's brilliant in everything; I mean, how could he not be? With those blue eyes, big arms and that half smile? I've made a list of my top Efron characters. (This list was originally supposed to be 5, but I couldn't narrow it down).
8. Teddy, "Neighbors"
As if fraternity brothers weren't already hot enough (for some odd reason), Zac Efron takes frat-stars to a whole other level. He is so playful and young, and has the "tool" character down. And in the end, he turns out a stand-up guy, with a job as an Abercrombie model ... Well, an Abercrombie door-model.
7. Paul, "New Years Eve"
Although his character is minimal, he is so cute with Michelle Pfieffer. He's a young catch living in New York who is just looking for a good time. Who wouldn't want to go on an adventure in NYC with Zac Efron on New Years Eve?
6. Jason, "That Awkward Moment"
He's such an adult in this movie. He's really living out in NYC with guy friends, a real job, an apartment, etc. It's adorable how close he is with his friends and how he adapts into a mature boyfriend by the end. And you gotta love when he shows up dressed with plastic genitalia to meet his girlfriend's parents.
5. Charlie, "Charlie St. Cloud"
The deepest of Zac Efron characters. He is so sweet with his brother, and when he cries, oh my god, my heart. And there's nothing like a preppy sailor close to his family.
4. Mike, "17 Again"
This is so special because it was his first debut out of the "High School Musical" movies. He acts playful, athletic and so sensitive. And who could forget when he slyly gets out of his new car with the black leather jacket?
3. Logan, "The Lucky One"
Not only is he an army brat, but he's also romantic. He travels cross-country, with his adorable dog nonetheless, to meet the girl who he believes saved his life. He shows that he is good with dogs and kids and he defends the woman he loves. And that shower scene ... God bless.
2. Link, "Hairspray"
This and my number one choice were very closely tied for first. Link is just so sweet and kind of naive that you can't help but love him. And when he sings and dances, ugh, you just melt.
1. Troy Bolton, "High School Musical" (1, 2 & 3)
And drum roll please ... Zac Efron as Troy is just the benchmark for all of his sexiness. He is such a strong leader even though he is blind to how loved he is. He is the triple threat: theatrical, athletic and smart. He was my love at age 9 when the movie came out, and nothing has changed in the last 10 years. Even at 19, he's still the Zac Efron for me.
1.
2.
And 3.
Zac Efron, bless your soul.
