March for college kids means one thing and one thing only: spring break. Thus, February and March are months filled with dieting, sadness, cheating, and regret before the big week. Exposing your body to the public is sometimes the most terrifying event in one's life. Therefore, this time of year we all work as hard as we can to make sure we look somewhat decent in a bathing suit – and a lot of the time in college, this is such struggle. Here are the ups and downs of the dieting phase before spring break, illustrated by Michael Scott.
Just the thought of being on a diet in general
When all you have eaten all day is vegetables
When someone is eating something delicious next to you and your can't eat it
Trying to calculate the amount calories, fat, carbs, sugar, and salt in all of the food you eat
When someone starts to describe an amazing, mouth-watering meal that you are trying so so hard not to eat
Trying to help your friends eat healthy
When Gumby's has a great deal, or Taco Bell introduces a brand new item that you just have to try because it is un-American not to
When you lose 0.42 pounds and feel hot AF and know you will own the beach for spring break
When you go out and ruin the entire week of dieting, then wake up in the morning filled with regret
When you lose all hope and give up completely on your diet
When you don't cheat for an entire day and feel on top of the world
When it's finally spring break and you can eat whatever the hell you want
It has been a February of ups and downs, good days and bad days, cheating and crying, but we are almost there. We are so close to reaching the glorious finish line of spring break. Keep on trucking, you spring breakers out there. It will all be worth it in the end, hopefully.
