When I was younger, about 6 or 7 years old, I remember a lot of adults would jokingly ask me what I want to do when I’m older. This question would always be overwhelming as at the time I had no idea what kind of job I would even want or what type of jobs were out there. Then I would reassure myself that "I’m so young, I don’t have to worry about that, what’s the big deal?"

I never thought time would fly so fast to the point where now I have to worry about that question. Myself, and almost every college student in the world, has to worry about that question.

Who do we want to do for work? What do we want to with our lives, what kind of job do we want to work to support our future families? This is what college students strive for. It is a big motivation to work hard and get good grades so getting a job won’t be on the very long list of things to worry about when becoming an adult and having so many responsibilities to worry about.

All of these questions are something college kids ask themselves very often as the time to decide on this kind of things approach faster than we think. It can be stressful, it can be difficult, and it can even be very scary to think about.

That’s just the thing though. We as college students should try to keep a more positive attitude about this. Just think for a second of all the possibilities there are out there for us. So many opportunities that are available out there.

The fact that we are still young, even if we don’t like to think it. Truth is, we still have a lot of learning to do inside and outside the classroom.

The crazy thing is somewhere out there in the world there is a young mind who is either sitting in a desk, in the library or even sitting in bed stressing about their schoolwork and thinking they’ll never make it in life.

That young mind could be a future president, a young scientist who can cure awful diseases or a young mind that will bring great change to this world. A young mind who will change lives for the better. There’s so many of those young minds out there.

The amazing thing about a college education is it can allow us to shape the world and future generations to come. It’s more than just finding a job just to get money. It is about following your dreams and ambitions in life.

It’s not even about trying to get the best job or the job that has the biggest paycheck. It should be about finding the job that makes you happiest no matter what it is.

That is what’s great about the position we are in now. We have the ability to shape the future, not just our own futures but the rest of the world as a whole.

So if you're out there stressing about your future. Don’t. There is plenty of time to figure things out for yourself. Don’t forget the opportunities that are out there waiting for us in the future.

Just think, you could be one of those future young minds that are just waiting for their chance to bring change in the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
