Preparing to meet my brother's girlfriend was one of the most nerve-racking things I have ever done! But I have also never been so glad to get up at 2:30 am to say hello to someone.

All the walls you had built up surrounding you and your brother come down and welcome in a new life long friend.

You Realize That The Distance Between Your Schools Doesn't Matter Anymore

Distance is just a number on a map, in all reality it has no effect on your bond with either of them.

You Realize Your Brother Has Good Taste After All

I know this may come as a surprise to you but it is a great surprise.

You Realize That You Can (And Want To) Share Him

Sharing is caring and I have never been more willing to share him in my entire life.

You Decided You No Longer Have To Be The Over Protective Sister

And you really don't want to.

You See How Much He Truly Cares About Her

Watching him express his emotions is one of the best gifts you can be given.

She Becomes 3 Dimensional 

You see her as a whole person and not just the girl your brother talks about in texts.

You Realize That There Is Room In Your Heart For Her

And you welcome her with open arms!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons.
