Moving down to the south seven months ago was a big change for me personally. Aside from the warm weather, there are some things that are different here than back home.

You know you're from Connecticut when...

1. This is called a grinder.

2. Going here is a fall "must have."

3. You have a piece of clothing with UConn on it, even if you have no interest in it.

4. You are either a Red Sox Fan or a Yankees fan.

5. Every summer you walk through the sunflower fields eating ice cream at Buttonwoods.

6. You go to the Mystic Aquarium for school field trips.

7. This is called a cart.

8. Dunkin Donuts coffee is an unhealthy addiction.

9. You never go to a beach in Connecticut, you always went to Rhode Island.

10. This is a package store

11. Driving down the road into your town always makes you feel at peace.
