Do you ever feel like you are right where you belong? Every time you walk on campus you just can't stop smiling. Sometimes you even catch yourself skipping so happily, as if you're in a movie scene. I'm only a month into my first semester of college, but I already know I'm right where I belong. Below is a list of things that have happened to me on campus, that surely have happened to you on your college campus.

1. Move in day was happier than you anticipated

Let's be honest. We all thought move-in day was going to be sad, it's the realization that college is finally here, the day that you've been anxiously waiting for all summer long. Saying goodbye to parents is tough, but once they left, you felt free. It's the first time to be alone on YOUR campus without anyone saying you could or couldn't do something.

2. The first day of classes was exciting

College is a place to study, and further our knowledge on topics and careers we are going to pursue. We all picked a college because they have the course of study we are interested in. The college that's right for you embodies all of the academic goals you were looking for. The first day of classes was a start of something great, it was the start of the future. There's nothing more exciting than the goals and dreams for what lies ahead.

3. You found those friends that just get you

College at first can be terrifying but keeping an open mind about friendships can really make an impact. The first week of college everyone is trying to make friends and form their own friend group. Looking back, it's amazing the types of people you've met and how many of them just make you happy and comfortable. Think about all the memories to come.

4. Walking around campus makes you in awe

Walking in between classes just feels right, you're in the grove, just living the college life. Being able to hang out in your favorite common area on campus that has your favorite view, or sitting on a bench drinking coffee; just taking everything in, makes you happy.

5. The college has everything you've looked and hoped for

College can even make you try things you could never see yourself doing. Love to volunteer? Bam, your college has a volunteer club that you can be apart of on the weekends. Love sports? Join a club, most colleges will have a club sport you love, or try a new one like quidditch or fencing. Want to be in greek life? Join a sorority or fraternity on campus. Theres more to college than just studying all the time, theres always things to do.

6. You love exploring your campus and its town/city around it

Sometimes getting lost on campus has it's pros, you can find places you didn't even know existed. The city or town around your college is in, always is college student friendly and there are dozens and dozens of things to do during the week and on the weekend. There's fitness classes from shopping to trying a new restaurant. You love where your campus is, and you just can't get enough of it.

7. When talking about your college, you just can't help but brag

We all love our college and it's campus. Talking to friends or family about your college sometimes can seem like a brag, because its just PERFECT and you can't help but share everything you love about it.

8. You can't even imagine what it would be like attending a different college

The thought of not being a student at your campus is horrifying. Being at another school you thought about in the past, is no longer in your brain.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
