You Know You Are Getting Old When...

After graduating high school, I realized just how fast time flies. Things change as you grow older, some are good and some are not so good. I've learned how important it is to cherish the time you have and the people you have in your life because you never know what is going to happen with time. On a less serious note, you know you are getting old when:

1. You start to dread your birthdays.

Not the party, cake, or presents, but the simple fact that you are getting older.

2. You don't care about likes or social media much.

At some point, we have all cared about the amount of likes you get or you have spent more time on social media than you would like to admit. As you get older, it doesn't matter much anymore.

3. One of your favorite movies came out 10+ years ago.

4. You get nostalgic about things that you never thought you would miss.

Such as high school or a former job.

5. You wonder why you ever wanted to grow up in the first place.

6. You say "I can't believe that was THAT long ago!" a lot.

7. You get more and more mail.

8. People joke about the number of candles on your birthday cake.

9. You get tired easily.

10. You start to like food that you didn't like before.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
