You Are Worth So Much

Believing the boy who told me I was worthless was the dumbest thing I have ever done.

You Are Worth So Much

I’m sure you’ve all heard “Fall Apart” by Post. If you haven’t, you should.

“She told me that I’m not enough”

First off, this lyric hits harder than any other word he’s spit. Because there’s a good chance we have ALL been told this by a man who puts himself on a pedestal that is way to high. And as a woman, I’m speaking for us as a whole: you are more than enough, you will always be enough. And if he’s telling you that you aren’t, just know that you were plenty, he just wasn’t the right man.

I see all over the internet people tweeting things like “screw the person who makes you feel like Posts song ‘Fall Apart’” and I’ve never related to something so well.

Because they’re right. SCREW the person who made you feel worthless.

Forget the man that looked you in the eyes and stressed you weren’t enough.

Forget the man that made you feel small.

Forget the man that told you he loved you, then completely made you feel otherwise.

BUT

Remember the man that DIED for you because you are who He loves and continuously will love. (1 John 3:16)

Remember the Man who loved you at your darkest. (Romans 5:8)

Remember the man who will NEVER abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

You are worth a man loving you, the right man. You are worth the love God will unconditionally always have for you. You are worth being forgiven and loved. You are worth grace and mercy. You are worth more than the words a man told you because he felt the need to belittle you while building himself up.

If you’ve ever been told you were not enough, and believed it, I’m so sorry. Because I believed the boy who told me I wasn’t enough, and it’s the dumbes thing I ever did. But it’s time we realize who’s opinion matters and who’s love counts, because above all else Gods love reigns. And it always will.

“For the battle is not yours, it is God’s.” 2 Chronicals 20:15
