If You're Looking For The Least Body-Damaging Energy Drink, Yerba Mate Is The Only Smart Choice

It's finals week and I've been studying 24/7. I don't really drink coffee or energy drinks because first I don't like the taste and second I am scared of the effects it may have on me. But a few days I ago I was studying like crazy and I was running out of energy. My friend recommended Yerba Mate. At first, I was a little hesitant. What if I don't like it? What if it's not healthy? What if something happens to me if I try it? Nonetheless, I risked my life so I could have a little more energy.

After doing some research, I've learned that it can relieve fatigue, promote weight loss, ease depression, and help treat headaches and various other conditions. When I tried it, I did feel more awake and was less stressed. I didn't have a headache at the time. But I do agree that this drink gives you energy. And it had a good taste as well. There are a lot of different flavors. I tried the mint flavor and it sure was minty.

However, I also learned that people who drink large amounts of Yerba Mate over prolonged periods may be at increased risk of some types of cancer. This drink contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are known to be carcinogenic. Obviously, Yerba Mate is healthy but it can't be 100% healthy.

The drink was good and it does help with fatigue. It tastes good and it's healthy. Sometimes when something is healthy it does not taste good. Sometimes it tastes bitter or just plain weird. However, it's not. Also, yerba mate is an organic, non-GMO, and fair trade drink. It's an ethically sound company. Still, this is an energy drink and people should drink with moderation for their safety.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
