XXXTentacion's Music helped Depressed Youth Through His Relatable music

XXXTentacion's death has caused controversy throughout the internet and fans.

Rapper XXXTentacion died Monday June 19, 2018. He was killed in a drive by shooting in Florida. His music was know to have deep meanings that listeners could connect to.

XXXTentacion wanted to help depressed teens through his music, hoping to help at least 5 million kids. XXXTentacion stated on an Instagram live video, "If worse thing comes to worst, and I f***ing die a tragic death or some s**t and I'm not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life."

X's songs often talked about depression and suicide. In one of XXXTentacion's most popular songs, "SAD!", X talks about his depression and his suicidal thoughts after his girlfriend left him. His song peeked a number seven on the billboard top 100, and stayed on the charts for 15 consecutive weeks.

In his song, "Jocelyn Flores" He brings up one of his close friends who killed her self. He states in the song,

"Picture this, in bed, get a phone call
Girl that you f***ed with killed herself

That was this summer and nobody helped
And ever since then, man, I hate myself
"

XXXTentacion's death has been very controversial, considering that he has been faced with several felonies including domestic battery, witness tampering, and false imprisonment. Although X had a criminal past, he was finally trying to get things right.
