When I tell people that I write for Odyssey, I always get the same question: Why?
Why do I write? It seems like such a simple question, yet there are so many reasons why I love to write.
I write so that I can get my voice out there on topics that are important, or ones that I think are important at least. I want people to realize that their opinion matters and that they shouldn't try to hold themselves back. I want my little articles to inspire even just one person out there to make their voice heard.
I love the freedom that comes with writing. I can write about anything and everything, whether it's about politics or dogs. The ideas are endless and you can never run out of things to write about.
Writing for Odyssey was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It has allowed me to connect with other amazing writers and finally have the platform I've been looking for to get my voice out there. The team I work with is always so encouraging and I know I could always go to them if I have writing block or need help with anything.
I don't just write for myself, I write for anyone who doesn't have the courage to get their voice out there.
