Music has always been a huge part of my life, so finding christian songs that I can relate to helps me with my faith. These are some songs that I have found the most meaningful to me. I highly encourage that you search for these songs on YouTube.
"Great Are You Lord" by All Sons and Daughters
"It's Your breath in your lungs, so we pour out our praises to You only." Does it get any better than hearing that you are breathing in God? I think not. "All the earth will shout your praise, our hearts will cry, these bones will sing, great are you Lord." That's another moving lyric in this song, it's crazy to think that the earth, our hearts, and our bones could praise Him.
"It Is Well" by Bethel
This song takes the normal old hymn of "It Is Well With My Soul" to a whole other level. I cried the first time I heard this song. I LOVE the lyric, "So let go my soul and trust in Him. The waves and wind still know His name."
"Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace)" by Hillsong Worship
First off, let's just mention the chills I get when listening to this song. I can just spiritually feel God working in my life. My favorite lyric is, "Oh I can see you now. Oh I can see the love in your eyes. Laying yourself down, raising up the broken to life."
"Pieces" by Amanda Cook
MY ALL TIME FAVORITE! I listen to this song on a daily basis and fall more in love with it each time. It's a great reminder that His love is never gone and is given to us in whole beings. Honestly you should just go listen to it because it's that great and I guarantee that you'll love it.
"Come As You Are" by Crowder
This song speaks the truth. You can come to Christ exactly how you are. He wants you to come back to Him and be sin free.
"Even When It Hurts (Praise Song)" by Hillsong United
"My hearts burns only for you. You are all, You are all I want." That lyric explains my whole relationship with God. My soul is on fire for Him and I love praising Him and learning more about Him.
"King of the World" by Natalie Grant
I find this song as a good reminder that this isn't my life, it is God living through me. I constantly find myself trying to perfect and plan things, when in reality I need to stop and let God handle it. I want my life to go certain ways that God hasn't planned for me, so this song helps me to stand back and say, "hold on you are going to fast, wait for God."
"Oceans" by Hillsong United
I know this was over played when it first came out, but it is still as good as that day. I find this song as a good prayer song. I can just turn this song on and pray. When I am done praying I just sit and listen to God, and find myself completely lost in Him.
