Because of this world,
…the girl in the cafeteria sitting alone will never know what it feels like to withhold a sense of companionship. She will always know the longing feeling for someone to fill the void, which has been planted inside of her: emptiness. The void which will soon come over her, when she cannot take the feeling of not being good enough. The kind of empty only a depressed spirit can feel, which will soon cease to exist. Not because she begins to love herself, but because she felt as though nobody did, and it was too late to save her.
Because of this world, girls and boys are left locked up in their bedrooms, sobbing, because they were not good enough for their partner. Because we put so much emphasis on having “hoes” rather than having faithfulness. Because of this world, dumbfounded by the idea that just anyone can give you sex, but it takes a genuine soul to give you trust, loyalty, and love.
Because of this world, the cutest little boy will never know the love of a mother because we so idolize the success and independence of which working upholds. The success of a woman which will keep her from having one to share her success with. The woman that will never be able to hold that baby because the pride of the working American can only be accomplished by a 55-hour work week, and a family deprived spirit.
Because of this world, the two people who are madly in love, despite color or gender, or any other description for that matter, will never be able to escape together to be one. Not because of self-infliction. No, because people blissed with ignorance feel that they should not have to live in a society where things make them “uncomfortable”. Because whoever said we had, “the right to the pursuit of happiness”, didn’t mention that our happiness had to fit the standards and guidelines of small minded people. Because of this world we live in a society that tell us to be ourselves, but to still make sure we still fit in.
Because of this world, mass shootings and bombings trend through schools, churches, and clubs. Segregation and discrimination are always present in society. Children worry where they will get their food and where they will sleep throughout the night. “No” has just become a proposition. Women’s bodies have become objects that are designed for a man’s pleasure.
Because of this world, people do not know their self-worth. They do not know their capabilities. They do not know all of the great societal contributions they are able to make. No, because of this selfish, ignorant, and hate inbound world, no soul will ever feel safe, loved, or belonged. Because this world does not know love; and love is the only entity that conquers all.
