Confession: I am a shopaholic.
Guess what? I am perfectly content with being a shopaholic.
Will I become a billionaire? Hmm...ya probs not but at least the style will be on fleek.
Will my closet be stocked with casual, everyday, and going out clothes? OH HELL YAS.
Is being a shopaholic an addiction? Nah...I don't think so....maybe...eh who knows it could be my therapy or perhaps there is some scientific study that proves that shopping is genetic.
Funny to think when I was a little one, my mother used to drag me (not literally my mother is the sweetest Italian woman you will ever encounter) to store after store. Mama Malone's go-to stores were and still are Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, DSW, and occasionally some mall stores. I normally could handle the first few trips and search for the perfect shoes or shirt for her, however, once the third store hit I was done. I hated it. I have always found shopping with Papa Malone to be a little more tolerable due to the fact that he 1. only likes to grocery shop (I'm low-key a foodie) 2. his shopping trips take half the time of Mama Malone's.
It wasn't until the end of high school / the beginning of college where I understood my mother's love for shopping. Whether you have to go to a party, celebration or are just in need of a new pair of jeans, the trips to the stores can be relaxing and fun. Now, I enjoy going with Mama Malone (most of the time or at least when we both need to find something).
Picking a color scheme, knowing which tops accentuate your figure and fit your body type, which shoes will make your legs look like a supermodel, and then, of course, finding those perfect jeans that hug all the right places making you buy a few pairs...yup this is what the shopping experience is all about.

So to all you shopaholics out there reading this, you are not the only ones who love to rock the latest trends and add a piece to your closet on the daily; the roomie MJ has witnessed me bringing back a new shirt each time I returned to our dorm this past year.
Need help determining if you have a shopaholic condition? If you answer YES to any of these questions, throw on a pair of your best heals and join the club.
- Is your closet twice the size of your roommates? Or could it be considered the size of a small boutique?
- Do you walk into a store claiming you are only there to be 1 item and 1 item only?
- Do you leave stores with the large size bag versus the small one?
- Do you find yourself at the mall more than once or twice a week?
- Are you on a first-name basis with the sales associates at your fav stores?
