The Women's March Is A Symbol Of Hope And Unity
Washington Post

“I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things that I cannot accept”. This quote by activist Angela Davis is one of the most relevant quotes ever uttered. During the recent women's march millions of people went out a made a statement of unity against potential oppression. The world hasn't seemed like an uplifting place recently but people peacefully uniting under an important cause is beautiful and vital, it brings hope that people care enough to try and make a positive change for the future. Power, strength and knowledge are not exclusive to good people corrupt egomaniacs can get those things as well, this fact only makes it more vital to stand up for each other. The U.S government is not a dictatorship they work FOR the people not the other way around. If the government is doing or planning on doing things that are detrimental to people, its an obligation to stand up for yourself and those around you.

To those who don’t agree with the women’s march, I recommend during research on the issues at hand and having empathy for your fellow human beings. The ability to assemble and protest is a Constitutional right. It might be time for some introspective thinking and evaluation but if you want to toss aside any potential knowledge you can gain, and throw away your belief in the constitution I suppose thats your prerogative. Peaceful protest is a beautiful thing you don't need to agree with what’s being protested but you’d be ignorant to dismiss it.

On the CNN panel Saturday night there were nine people on a panel discussing the women's march, only one of them was female! How is it possible that a protest that was centered around women’s rights that they would have only one female there to discuss it. No one will learn anything without the ability to go out of their comfort zone and see the world through others perspectives. Even then we all use confirmation bias anyway and try to surround ourself with what our original dispositioned belief was.

I think the country’s going to be ok, throughout history their are people who were willing to stand up for whats right , and its evident that people are not going to stop doing that now.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
