Here's to you, the woman I call on my best days, my worst days, and every day in between. I know I tell you that I love you all the time but no amount of words will ever be able to express how much you actually mean to me. You are the most selfless person I know and for that alone, I am forever grateful. When Dad got sick, you dropped everything and got on the next plane to Maryland. No matter how many times we butt heads while you lived with us for a year, I ran downstairs every night for a hug goodnight . The impact you have made on my life is huge.
I will never forget all the Friday nights we spent at Bingo together. When you would shout "BINGO" at the top of your lungs and I would think in my head, yup she's mine. I thought those days may have been over but I learned over spring break this past year that they definitely weren't. After waiting so many years because I was too young, I was so happy that I was finally able to yell it with you. When everyone in the hall stared at me and claimed they thought that was your yell, I was proud of myself. I knew that I was following the right leader.
Thank you for the numerous times you opened up your home to my friends and I. You spoiled us each time, dropping your weekly schedule to make sure we got to do everything and anything we wanted to. Every vacation was like paradise because of your hospitality. Don't worry, I'll be back soon!
Our Facetime calls are something I will value for the rest of my life. Having the relationship I have with you is something so special. Whether I get an A on a test or I'm having "the worst day of my life," I know I can count on you to pick up on the first ring and say whatever it is I need to hear.
Your laugh, it literally lights up an entire room. I aspire to be as happy as you are one day. You have shown me what true hard work pays off to be, a lot of bingo and time with my friends. I hope to one day be as happy as you are, every day. Heck, we can't even make an ice cream run at Publix without 5 people you know stopping us and telling me how lucky I am.
I am just so blessed to have someone who cares about me, supports me, loves me, and even tells me when I'm wrong. I cherish every moment we have together and I value your wisdom more and more every day. As I get older, I am able to understand so many of the lessons you taught me as a child. I'm not sure how I got so lucky but I am so grateful that I did.
Nana this one is for you. My love for you is infinite. Having someone like you know me better than I know myself is amazing. Thank you for being my person for 18 years. Please never change. I love you.
