Wisdom And Youth

Who am I to say what is best for our youth?

Wisdom And Youth

Youth, mostly something that gets connected with being young and dumb. I am not sure why so many decisions that are unhealthy get made at a young age. I actually think bad decisions get made at all ages. However, when your young, it is just easier to be pointed out. I think that wisdom is something that you have, or something that you have and just share over time. Wisdom is something that is so valuable. It is something that is so valuable. I think it is worth more than money. You can not teach someone how to get to the top, they have to teach themselves through experience, it is only wisdom that can guide them to the next step.

I think it is unfair to assume that youth cannot live for their own selves. I see so many young people doing thins I wish I did at their age. Luckily I am still only 22 years old, so I know am doing something right. However, that still does not excuse the ignorance of some of the older individuals. I apologize for my blunt language, but I think it is so stupid for an adult to decide a religion, or a major, or even a lifestyle for a child. A parent gives its child love, yes, but a child figures out what it loves on its own. This is probably one of the greatest battles faced on the planet today. What the parent wants, and what the child wants.

Most may think, who am I to say what is best for our youth, I am only 22 years old. Yet, for some reason, I still think I know what is best. Most of the people I have met on this journey have been people under 30. To me, this is youth. They tell me to follow my heart and never care what others say. But when I get back I hear all these opinions on what to do, and what will make me the most money. I think this is the illusion of life. That money will bring you happiness. I am sure that money could never hurt, but I think it is important to remember that money is a man-made object. It is something that is controlled by others. It is something that we are told will make us happy. I know how cliche that sounds, but think about it. Only you can determine what will make you happy. You can never let anyone else decide for you. This sounds so cheesy, but like I have said in earlier articles, the cheesiest things are usually true.

I think the youth today has more wisdom than ever. We understand the importance of saving money, and the importance of education. As crazy as that sounds, that is what I know. Most of my peers have taught me how to live life the right way. Always do your best, and make sure you are doing what you love. There is no other way to live.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
