We all know how over the past few months, discussions about climate change and weather patterns have been trending. It's all relevant. But not to one state as much as Louisiana.
Now, being a student at a campus like LSU, I would love to see snow. It would be a perfect image: the snowy courtyard in Middleton, the Union covered in snow, Death Valley would be a site to see.
But unfortunately, this scenario is far from possible. Why? Well, it's Louisiana. WE ONLY GET HURRICANES.
Recently, we got to witness the worst Atlantic Hurricane Season ( Not Cajun Seasoning ). But usually, after a lot of rain and wind, people expect nature to tilt on her morale and give the humans some break. But no. We only get down to about 40 degrees. And mind you, that is cold, in numbers. It actually feels like 90. The thing is, one day we step out and it feels like it will snow first thing tomorrow morning.
So, we prep for an even colder and amazing day ahead of us. The next day, it's 90 degrees and all the vests and sweaters I took out of the grave now have to go back. So in essence, in the next four years of college, I would love to see a snowy LSU campus. It would not only be wonderful and magical, but it would cancel a few days of classes and let me sip of some hot chocolate.
