If you're reading this, I'm sure you know that feeling of finding the perfect lip color. Whether it's the perfect nude or bright red, we live to find the one that completes the outfit.
As a woman with brown skin, I realized that some colors just don't work for me. However, in my hunt, I have found perfect companies and shades to enhance my complexion. The best part is that they give me that golden glow all summer. Here are my three favorite companies right now that will help you find the perfect shade.
1. NYX Cosmetics
NYX keeps a beautiful variety of colors in their line. I have never been disappointed with them. NYX products are also perfect for every season. For now, however, let's focus on summer. Colourpop has to be the most inexpensive brand of lipstick with the highest quality, ranging at about $6. Colourpop is a great company to buy bright, fun color from. They have a wonderful product line, but my favorite one for summer is Ultra Satin. Ultra Satin is the perfect mixture of gloss and matte. I find this to be perfect because it lasts without the dryness of matte, or the stickiness of gloss. 3. Maybelline
When I tell you I am a sucker for variety, Maybelline almost makes me cry. Maybelline has managed to bring amazing colors; they also have different forms for the lips as well. Their Color Sensational line has everything from fire reds to the nudist browns, and all colors in between. Maybelline caters to all skin tones and all preferences of lip comfort.
My personal favorite has to be Color Sensational's "Buffs" line. This line is more of the nudes of the family, but still holds its own. They give you a quality look, and do not have a chalky residue after hours of wear.
This is a great summer line for slight color. For the bolder women, I recommend the Color Sensational Vivids. These babies are bright! Made with honey nectar to keep the lips moisturized, Vivids come in ten super-bright shades.
