It's winter break! Finals are finally over. You get to go home and sleep in your own bed, live under your parent's roof, and enjoy the relaxing break of classes. Winter break is the best time to reunite with high school friends, make some extra money, and reflect on your past semester. And who's better to tell the story of winter break than The Office's Michael Scott? Here are 12 things that may happen to you when you go home for winter break as told by all of our favorite boss, Michael Scott.

1. Getting home after a week of finals and being in your own house again without any worries about classes

2. Finally reuniting with your best friend in the whole world, your dog

3. You and your best friends from high school seeing each other again after a whole semester apart

4. Learning to drive your car again after you haven't in way too long

5. Going back to work and getting your first paycheck in three months

6. Your parents realizing all of the questionable things you did this semester

7. Seeing how much your high school friends have matured since you've been apart

8. When your parents try to talk to you about how much money you've spent this semester

9. Suddenly remembering all the assignments you were given over break and how little work you've actually done

10. Saying goodbye to your hometown friends and family all over again

11. Stepping foot on campus after a whole month of being away and remembering how much you missed it

12. The realization that winter break is actually over and you have to do another whole semester of classes

Good luck with your Spring semester, and always remember "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky' - Michael Scott."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
