Every college student has a love-hate relationship with winter break. On one hand, you're finally done with waking up early and studying for finals. But on the other hand, you're separated from your roommates/best friends and left to answer grandma's age-old question of if you're seeing anybody. If you haven't learned by now, the hit-show "Friends" can be related to everything in life. In this case, the lovely Pheebs describes winter break for the college student.
You're finally free from finals and are trying to get home as quickly as possible
If you thought your professors' questions were annoying, you haven't unwillingly played 20 questions with your relatives
When you realize you're the first one of your friend group to come home
And you're so not ready to see your final grades
Already saying goodbye to your bank account as the holiday season approaches
Trying to dodge all of your mom's requests to do the dishes and your laundry
Your Christmas wish-list consists of one thing and one thing only: money
Knowing that it's never too early to be pumped for Christmas (aka the day after Thanksgiving)
Seeing every couple's Christmas and New Year's pictures
And then there's you
You begin to realize that applications for summer internships are due very soon and you have no clue where to begin
Trying to get your friends from home to hang out with you
So you begin begging your roommates to FaceTime you because you're bored and miss them
Making your New Year's resolution to start exercising more for the fifth year in a row
Realizing that it's already time to start re-packing for spring semester and you literally did nothing with your life for the month of January
