College students everywhere are finally putting their textbooks down and pulling Netflix up because the dreadful times we call "Finals" are finally over. While relaxing during December is desired and much advised, it is also wise to use your extra free time to accomplish things in many different areas of your life! Here are five ways to make your break count.
1. Get a seasonal job.
Plenty of places are hiring for the holiday season, so send in an application to help with buying presents and boosting your resumé.
2. Volunteer.
Tis the season for giving so gather some friends and head out into your community to spread some holiday cheer!
3. Travel.
During the semester it is easy to find yourself stuck behind your desk or in the library working on assignments. Take your winter break to explore and experience something new!
4. Read for fun.
You know that novel you discovered in October, but you couldn't read it because you still had five chapters of Organic Chemistry to get through? There is no better time than now to pick up some books from your local library and enjoy them in the glow of the Christmas tree.
5. Spend time with family.
You have been away from home since August. Take this time to catch up with your family. They miss you more than you know.
