If you do not want to be with someone, the best way to end a relationship is to just break it off face to face. Do not go behind their backs and see other people. You have no idea the damage you are causing. Once you hurt someone like that, a person doesn’t just come out of that relationship the same way. Don't be the reason why someone is scared to get hurt again. It doesn't feel good being the person that hurts someone, and it feels worse being the person that is left hurt.

1. Trust Issues. Once you give someone your trust and they break it, it is hard to give your trust away again. Not trusting people is a defense mechanism to protect yourself from getting hurt again.

2. Insecure. I feel like I am not good enough. I couldn’t make someone happy enough to be the only one in a relationship. Was I really worth losing over some hookup?

3. Heartbroken. When I found out the person I was in love with was all a lie, my heart shattered. The guy I was falling for didn’t even respect me enough to tell the truth. You could look me in the face and act like nothing happened.

4. Worth. Finding out is one of the worst parts, especially if you find out from someone else. Never be so cowardly to let your significant other find out from someone else what you did. It shows you can’t even respect them enough to come forward. I feel like I wasn't even worth telling and being honest.

5. No room for friendship. There is no second chance to even be friends. If you break things off honestly and faithfully, there is still a chance for a friendship down the road.

6. Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift saved my life. Before He Cheats was basically non-stop playing for a week straight. I may have thought about keying a car and slashing some tires.

7. Moving on. I can move on, but I will never look at you the same way.

8. I won't feel bad for you. Never play the self guilt card to get the person you cheated on back. You should feel bad for what you did, that does not make me want to come running back because you realized it was a mistake.

9. Red flags. I will never dismiss red flags so easily anymore. If I see someone is messaging their ex, I will definitely be questioning that.

10. What does she have that I don’t? What made her worth it? I see her and she must have something I don’t. I hope that girl made losing me worth it.

11. I don’t need you. I thought you were the one, but when I saw your true colors I found myself and I realized I can be just as happy without you. You did not complete me, being happy with myself does. The problem wasn’t me, it was you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
