Let's be honest here, we all want to have the perfect Instagram feed as well as 1k or more followers. However, what you post on social media of any sort should never define who you are.
When we are browsing Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, we envy those who seem to have the "perfect" life. We base this over the number of likes and followers one may have but in reality, their life more than likely is far from just that. No one looks or acts exactly how they seem throughout their feed. They also don't know each and every one of their followers on a personal level. They are just average people with above average social media aesthetic. We also shouldn't think lower of someone because they get below 11 likes or have 100 or less followers. No one should allow their social media to be their double life, it should be used for the sole purpose of posting and sharing your life with others. Embrace who you are and do not wish to be someone else simply because of something you see online. No one is exactly what they seem to be, especially on social media.
We shouldn't be worried about the number of likes we get on a post but rather what we think of our self defiance. How do we define ourselves? Is it based off of what we see on social media or what we wish to be? We should define ourselves based on who we are rather than what our Instagram feed goals may be. Be exactly who you are behind that username rather than what you wish to be. Not everyone is what they seem to be on social media. We cannot judge others based off of what we see on their Instagram or what they post on Facebook. We need to only base off of their character and who they are as human-beings. Nowadays, if you do not have over 1k followers or over 200 likes on your photos than you might as well say goodbye to your social media because it does not meet society's standards. Why are we letting something as simple as the number of likes define our entire lives?
Do not post something and try to look or act a certain way just so you can get a ton of likes. Do not take the cliche pictures just so you can fit into society's needs. Do not pucker your lips out so that you can have the perfect Kylie Jenner pose. Instead, be who you are just the way you want to be.
Do not worry about what other's may think of your caption or how many likes you may or may not receive. Try not to overload the amount of filters you stack on a photo simply because you want it to look perfect. Do things because you want to do it and not because others are forcing you to look a certain way. Never let social media define you, only you are in control of that.
