Fear. Something everyone makes decisions based on. Should I talk to that guy? Should I raise my hand? Should I give my opinion? We are constantly held back because of fear. We don't want rejection. But, what you might not realize is that rejection will help you grow. What if saying hi to the boy in class sparks something more? Maybe he had fear of saying hi to you.

When you hold yourself back from doing something because it scares you, you're holding yourself back from experiences. "If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience." This may just be a Mumford & Sons lyric, but really think about it. Life is full of highs and lows, so imagine the endless possibility of highs if you step out of your comfort zone.

I am constantly scared I am not living my life to the fullest it can be; I am scared of missing experiences. There's fear right there. The fear of missing out on life, and waking up one day just to realize there's so much more I could have done with my life. Doesn't that scare you? Think about it. You don't say hi to the girl who lives next to you in your dorms because you're scared she won't like you. What if she could actually be your best friend? You would never know, because you didn't take the leap that could gain you a lifelong friend.

Many people have a fear of going off on their own, away from family and friends they've always had; the fear of change. Let me tell you, change is AMAZING. Going to school eight hours from home has really helped me evolve as a person in just a few short months, and this is something I think everyone should experience. True independence.

If there's any advice I can give to anyone, it would be to take chances; don't be scared of life. Stepping out of your comfort zone will lead you to a world full of possibilities. Take whatever fear you have and let it go. In a way, you're setting yourself free with no worries. Yes, there is something we will all still be scared of, but don't let it hold you back from not growing as a person.

Live. Your. Life. Go out on a Tuesday night, kiss that person, set yourself free from all the fear built up in you. Try something new today, try something new every day. Don't let yourself hold back from all the amazing things that could happen to you at any given time. As cliche as it sounds, dance like no one's watching. And live your life for yourself and do the things that make you the happiest. You may look like an idiot, but living fearlessly means you don't care. Once you learn to set yourself free from fear, your life is starting. It's time to make life into the life you want.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
