And time management tips to do so.

Why You SHOULD Go Out As Much As Possible In College

Yes, I know everyone says to limit yourself and your “partying” in college. But I’m here to kind of contradict that. You should be going out as much as possible. You should have blisters on your feet from dancing all night. You should be sitting in class Friday morning feeling just a tad crappy. You should be spending as much time living life to the fullest while you can. College is the only time when it is okay to take complete advantage of the weekend — because I can guarantee real responsibilities are going to hit us like a bus after graduation. So don’t sit on your couch and watch "Orange is the New Black" this Friday night. Get up, doll yourself up, and sweat way too much in fratland dancing with your best friends to throwback tunes

Not that schoolwork isn’t important, because we are paying for an education here. So learn to manage your time wisely and make the most of every single day. Professors in college give you this wonderful thing called a syllabus; you literally know when every single homework assignment is due and exactly when all your quizzes and exams are for the semester. See that major exam you have two weeks from now? Well better start studyin’, because Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are strictly reserved for having fun. There is a way to manage both school and a social life, I promise. You can even manage a few clubs, too. Using a planner will be your lifesaver, your IV, all throughout college. Planning ahead is key managing your time well so you can be sure to maximize your fun for these text few years.

My biggest suggestions: buy a planner (and don’t let it just sit at the bottom of your backpack). Study at least one week in advance for exams. Spend as much time with your best friends as possible (even if that means just studying together). But most of all, make the most of your time in college, because these are four years that we cant redo; and I promise they can be the best four years if you just learn to stay on top of your sh*t.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
