Game of Thrones is HBO's television series of George R.R. Martin's book famous book series, A Song of Ice and Fire. With the all of the hype about the show, especially this season, I thought I would share my thoughts on why you should not watch (or read) Game Of Thrones.

1. The story line.

Please do not watch Game of Thrones unless you want to get completely "hooked" by the entire storyline of this show. I started watching this show at the beginning of the year, and the storyline is so relatable to many different people with different interests. If you have no interest in a show with an incredible storyline, this probably isn't the show for you.

2. The characters.

The characters in Game Of Thrones are well developed and all are very intentional with their actions. While watching and reading the series, it is really easy to relate to a character because of how diverse the characters are.

You definitely should not get into Game of Thrones unless you want to have an attachment to characters!

3. Dragons.

No explanation necessary on that one.

4. Battles!

Alright, the entire show is basically one huge battle for the throne of the seven kingdoms. So if you hate battles, you probably would not like Game of Thrones.

5. Dragons

6. SUSPENSE!

Every episode leaves you on the edge of your seat, anxiously waiting for the next. Likewise with the books. George R. R. Martin has a way of leaving you wanting more and more! If you cannot handle waiting episode to episode, season to season, or even waiting years for the next incredibly put together series, then this show is not for you at all!

7. Details

George R. R. Martin has only wrote 5 books so far in the Game of Thrones series, but they are packed with tons of detail, and an amazing story line to go with it. This is definitely not a show that you can put on for "background noise" you need to make sure that you are paying attention to detail! Otherwise, this show is definitely not for you!

8. DRAGONS!

9. It is Addicting.

So the last and the most important reason why you should not watch HBO's Game of Thrones would be that it is absolutely addicting, After finishing the first episode, I was hooked. Even more so, after finishing the first book I was hooked. I strongly recommend not getting into this series if you have no free-time and absolutely no desire to watch a totally bad ass show that will always keep you anxious and excited for the next episode.

As a personal favor for me, please do not start Game Of Thrones. It is the most addicting, wonderfully horrible thing that I have gotten into so far!

How it feels being a "Game of Thrones" fan:

Did I mention that there are dragons?!

Thanks for reading! Be sure to check out HBO for times to watch Game of Thrones. And don't miss out on reading George R. R. Martin's books either!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
