Kanye West. One of the most well known artist around the world. Known for his iconic music, fashion line, relationship with Kim Kardashian-West and also his ego. There's no doubt that Kanye has a big ego, he's not one to hold back about how he feels about himself and how he feels about the world. Many people criticize him for what he says publicly. However when you really stop to think about the things he says you will realize that maybe he's not so crazy after all and that he might have a point in some of the things that he says.
When he calls himself a god...
This is probably one of the most famous things that he is known for saying. In his albums/public life he refers to himself as Yeezy, which can be indirectly seen as him referring to himself as Jesus. This statement is usually what people base their opinions off of Kanye from. I am not saying that you should think of yourself as a god (but if you wanted to then good for you, man). Kanye may view himself as a god but good for him. He has the self esteem built up to believe that he is a great person. How often have you said to yourself "I am a great person!" Probably not often right?
When he called out Taylor Swift...
Okay, I know this may not be one of his most shining moments but hear me out. His actions are so much more than him dissing Taylor out for beating Beyonce, he stood up for something that he was passionate about. We all have that one person in our life that we wish we could stand up to, and even if Kanye didn't have beef with Taylor beforehand, he defended his friend because he is passionate about his work.
He's spreading his own form of positivity.
Kanye West is well known for not smiling very often. That doesn't mean that he is not a happy person. He is very committed to his marriage to Kim and his two children North and Saint West. Even though sometimes the things he says may seem obscure, he is always spreading some form of positivity.
His confidence wearing what he wants...
I personally am not a fan of Kanye's fashion line but I admire that he had a vision and followed through with that to create something that is his own and unique to him. Society often pressures people to conform to the mainstream style but Kanye is not afraid to wear what he likes even if that style is not what other people are wearing.
Love yourself like Kanye loves Kanye...
Kanye once said "[I heard I] hurt someone by saying I love myself. It seems like the world is all based off of people being taught not to think highly of themselves and by not thinking highly of themselves you think less of other people. You end up marginalizing yourself and marginalizing the people around you." Although it may not always seems like it Kanye is sick of the hate filled world as you are. He agrees that this world is filled with too much hate and he is proposing that other people love themselves like he loves himself which really isn't a bad idea.
Kanye will never be the most loved person, but at least he knows that his opinion of himself matter more than what other people think of him. This is why we should all have the confidence level of Kanye.
