Why You Need To Watch Shannon And Cammie On YouTube

“Shannon and Cammie” is a pair of names that resonates quite deeply with the LGBTQ+ community. However, whether or not you identify with the spectrum, Shannon and Cammie is a couple you need to be watching on YouTube. Between the two of them, they run two different YouTube accounts, own a business and always remain extremely active on social media – plus, the two are outrageously adorable. All are reasons why you need to get behind them.

Shannon runs a YouTube account called “nowthisisliving” and Cammie has a YouTube account that you can find under her full name “Cammie Scott” – both are channels I make sure to keep up with on a weekly basis. Shannon’s channel features videos with the two of them together doing challenges, vlogs, question and answers, etc. Overall, her channel contains videos that just capture their incredibly lovely relationship. To make the cute factor of Shannon’s channel increase even more, she makes sure to begin every video with, “OK, hi guys, I’m Shannon, and this is my beautiful girlfriend Cammie.” Each video, her opening catchphrase only gets livelier, demonstrating their wonderful relationship that is often referred to as #goals by many people in the LGBTQ+ community.

Both Shannon and Cammie are role models for not just the people within their community, but for thousands of other people as well. Not only do they share their incredible love story with their subscribers, but they also share their adventures with them. One of their most notable successes is their company, Ripple Effect. The two created a clothing line where each product has a designated charity the proceeds go to – and they allow their customers to openly vote on which charities they would like to see the donations go to. The mission of the company is to implement a ripple effect (hence the name of the company). They want to show how one person is capable of making a change.

In addition to "nowthisisliving" and Ripple Effect, Cammie started her own channel about all things lifestyle. As a vegan, Cammie makes videos about food and her diet, sharing her journey and lifestyle with her viewers. As a lover of fashion and beauty, she discusses those topics as well, with many makeup tutorials and beauty vlogs. She also uploads the occasional DIY and follow-me-around vlog, truly diversifying the content of her channel. She started her own YouTube channel a mere five months ago and already has over 130,000 subscribers – the two together have a wildly devoted fan-base.

Shannon and Cammie started out as a “Tumblr couple” – they met on the popular blogging site and soon began a beautiful relationship together. They overcame a distance that many couples wouldn’t be able to – demonstrating their incredible strength and devotion to one another. Since they are so open on the Internet, their relationship has become a huge inspiration to people in the LGBTQ+ community and even beyond that.

With each video, they show how possible a wonderfully healthy relationship with your best friend can be, as well as showing how possible it is to be successful with the power of the Internet and social media. Both of their channels, as well as their company, grow immensely with every video and product. If you’re not already part of the Shannon and Cammie fan-base, I would advise you to get on following them, because their inspiration and success is truly contagious.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
